What We Do

What does Wolf Creek PTA actually do?

Wolf Creek Elementary has a very active PTA! We want to make our students feel cared for, our teachers feel appreciated and ALL parents feel included. To do these things, we need to fund raise. At Wolf Creek, we pride ourselves on not selling things door to door but instead, we have 3 main fund raisers each year (Fall Festival, Fall Book Fair and Spirit Wear Sales) that raises money for our school! With the money earned, PTA can accomplish such programs as:

A/R Reading Program

The A/R program is for children in 2nd thru 5th grades. Students are given the STAR reading test. This test determines the grade level in which each child can read efficiently. After reading books (that have A/R noted on the cover), students can take a short quiz and accumulate points (also noted on the cover). Students who reach their A/R goals are awarded with a celebration at the end of the year.

For the first graders, they are asked to read each night for 10 to 15 minutes and keep track of it on a log sheet that the teacher provides. (this is homework)  All students are encouraged to read 150 nights.  Those students who read for 150 nights OR MORE will receive a Pizza Party with all the first grade teachers at the end of the year.

Donations
Each year, our PTA donates $100 toward BAHS Project Graduation and also $100 to Broken Arrow Neighbors to go toward Food 4 Kids.

Educational Programs
PTA seeks to enrich the learning experience of the children by providing funding for educational field trips and assemblies. For the past few years PTA has been able to assist the school in sending each class on a field trip.
